Seven content types

Color and size control

PNG works for the web, slides, and documents. SVG is a true vector format that stays sharp at any print size, from business cards to A0 posters. The code itself is path data; if you add a logo, that logo is embedded inside the vector file as a bitmap.
Do these QR codes expire?
No. Every code generated here is static: the data is baked into the image itself. There is no redirect service, no tracking link, and nothing to renew. If the URL you encoded changes, generate a new code.
Is my data private?
Yes. The QR code is built entirely in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing you type is sent to a server, stored in a database, or logged anywhere. Closing the tab is all it takes to erase any trace.
How do I make a WiFi QR code?
Select the WiFi type, enter the network name and password, and pick your encryption standard (WPA2 covers most home and office routers). When a guest scans the code, their phone prompts them to join without typing the password.
How do I make an Instagram QR code?
Select Instagram, enter the account username (with or without the @ sign), and the code is generated immediately. Scanning it opens the profile directly in the Instagram app or in the browser if the app is not installed.
What size should I print a QR code at?
A rough rule: the code should be at least one tenth of the distance it will be scanned from. At arm’s length (about 30 cm), a 3 cm code works. For a poster read from across a room, go larger. Download the SVG and scale it without losing sharpness.
Can I put my logo in the middle?
Yes. Upload a PNG, JPEG or WebP under 2 MB and it is placed over the centre of the code, on a small plate in your background colour. The file is read in your browser and never uploaded. Start with the small size and only go larger if it still scans on a real phone.
Why does the logo switch error correction to High?
A logo covers part of the pattern, which a scanner has to reconstruct from redundant data. High (30%) leaves enough headroom for a centre logo. You can lower it afterwards, but test the result before printing.
What is error correction and which level should I pick?
Error correction encodes redundant data so a scanner can reconstruct the message even if part of the code is obscured. Low (7%) produces the least dense pattern, High (30%) the most robust. Medium is the right default for screen use and standard printing.
